Terms and Conditions

Acceptance
Any instructions received by the customer for the supply of goods and services shall constitute a binding contract and acceptance of the terms and conditions contained herein.  Our quote is based on the costs of materials and labour at the time of quotation.  We may withdraw that quotation at any time before acceptance.  Any changes in costs prior to the acceptance of the quote arising from sources beyond our control (for example, changes in prices charged by suppliers to us, or in government charges) shall be relayed to you as necessary.

Materials
Time is chargeable for collecting material for jobs. If a tradesman is required to leave the site to collect further material for a job, then all time is chargeable from the time we leave the site until we return. Materials are charged per job at the supplier's recommended retail rate.

Payment Options
Payment can be made by:
EFTPOS machine (Debit Card or Credit Card) Online Banking ANZ -01- 0221-0772864-01 – Account Name: Barkers Plumbing Ltd quoting reference

Payment Option Terms
Payment for Goods and Services shall be made in full on or before the due date of the invoice. Interest may be charged on any amount owing after the due date at the rate of 5% over and above the overdraft rate charged by ANZ.

Any expenses, disbursements, and legal costs incurred by Barkers Plumbing Ltd in the enforcement of any rights contained in this agreement shall be paid by the Customer, this includes all fees on a solicitor’s client basis and debt collection agency fees. Invoices are to be paid on completion of a job or on the agreed payment due date.

All goods supplied by Barkers Plumbing Ltd remain the property of the company and we reserve the right to collect the goods if the invoice is not paid in full within 30 days of invoice.

Disputes
In order for us to consider your query, this needs to be made within seven (7) days by phoning the director/owner on  021 634 543.

In the event of human error, Barkers Plumbing Ltd reserves the right to amend undercharged invoices within 7 working days of the invoice date and request the customer to settle the difference or shortfall.

Cancellations
We can reschedule work for free, but any jobs cancelled within 24 hours may incur a cancellation fee.

Any time a tradesman is booked and the tradesman is dispatched to the job or is on-site, a minimum charge will apply whether any work is completed on-site.

Warranty
Workmanship is 12 months on new installations, this does not include any maintenance or repair items.

We honour the manufacturer’s warranty for any product that the company supplied and installed.

Fittings & Fixtures supplied by the customer
We are only responsible for fittings and fixtures that are supplied by Barkers Plumbing Ltd and do not access any liability in respect of previous materials and/or works by any third party.

If you have already purchased fittings that you would like us to install, we will need to check the suitability of the fittings you have bought.  If we feel that the suitability or durability is not good enough or that the product is not fit for purpose then we can, if necessary, advise that we cannot use this product. We will offer suggestions for a more appropriate option that we can install instead.   

The customer acknowledges that they accept responsibility for the suitability of purpose, quality, and any faults inherent in those materials.  The customer is also responsible for the warranty on all products supplied by them.​
